Mission Control

Mission Control is volunteer-based and member-supported community center located in the heart of San Francisco hosting events and gatherings that co-create artistic, sensual, and social evolution. It is a place, a space and a people.

Founders Polly Superstar and Barron Scott Levkoff created Mission Control as a “petri dish” of social experimentation in January 2001. Nine years later to the day on January 1st 2010, after almost a decade of building community in the space, they handed over running Mission Control to the community itself, and from there it has blossomed into a nexus of San Francisco’s diverse and ever changing creator culture.

As an organization, Mission Control is home to special gatherings open to our members and volunteers, with the aim of creating creative connections between people, both within and across a diverse group of communities.
